I've spent more than two-thirds of my life in our very neighborhoods. I've seen good times and bad. The vitality of Northglenn and Thornton is as important to me as it is to you! But I regret to say: our governor and legislators, including our district's incumbent, have all utterly failed to protect the interests of ordinary Coloradans. They regularly give your tax dollars to special interests, tiny constituencies and non-Coloradan freeloaders. The protected classes have gained significantly, while your standard of living has plummeted straight off a cliff!
THE CITIZENS OF HD34 DESERVE BETTER!
My PRIORITIES:
The cost of living and housing - I can't think of a single thing I'm paying less for today than I was a few years ago. But a lot of the economic pain we're going through here in Colorado is a direct result of failed economic policies from our state government. We need legislators who care more about their fellow Coloradans than about turning our state into a socialist utopia!
Crime and punishment - Colorado's crime rates have exploded into some of the highest in the country. We used to have a very safe state, but Colorado's 'leadership' at the state level cares more about the criminals than they do about you. Send me to the State House, and your police and prosecutors will have an advocate to do the job we need them to do - keeping us safe and keeping criminals off the streets!
The immigration crisis - While it was started by the federal government, some states are proactive in attempting to curb its effects. Meanwhile, Colorado's sanctuary state status guarantees that your hard-earned tax dollars will be spent in ways you never agreed to. And it's not just a 'Denver' problem: crime in your neighborhood is up dramatically... your school systems and other government agencies are overburdened and unprepared... unqualified workers are taking your jobs... and all of this is forcing your state leaders to demand more and more from you, the productive taxpayer. Send Sully to the State House, bearing the unmistakeable message that "We have had enough!"
